The Ventura Keys kicked off summer in style on Friday evening as neighbors gathered at Big Beach for the first concert in the new Big Beach Summer Concert Series.
With the harbor as a backdrop, families and friends spread out in beach chairs and gathered around picnic tables while enjoying live music from local band Lowered Expectations. The band’s high-energy performance kept the crowd entertained throughout the evening, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of summer in the Keys.

The event drew an incredible turnout, with more than 150 residents and guests joining the festivities throughout the night. Happy Eatery and Mister Softee were both crowd favorites, serving up dinner, treats, and plenty of smiles as neighbors from all generations mingled and enjoyed the waterfront setting.
One of the best parts of the evening was seeing the community come together. From longtime residents catching up with friends to new neighbors making connections, Big Beach was filled with conversation, laughter, and great music from start to finish.

A special thank you goes out to everyone who attended, as well as the volunteers and organizers who helped make the evening such a success. Judging by the enthusiastic feedback received afterward, residents are already looking forward to the next concert.
We can’t wait to see everyone again at future Ventura Keys events this summer!
