MAIN CHANNEL DREDGING TO START ON MONDAY 23 JANUARY

Beginning on or about Monday 23rd January and continuing on through 28th or 29th January 2006, theVentura Port District will begin 24 hour dredging of the Pierpont Basin. The dredge will progress towards and end at the Big Beach. Residents in the main channel area please relocate your boats as the dredge progresses towards your area! There are several vacant docks off the main channel and we ask anyone that has an empty dock to loan it out to anyone that may need it. We can also position boats on docks ahead and behind the dredge as it moves into the channel.

We know this will be noisy and inconvenient, but this cleaning of our waterways is important and will last only a few days. The Keys Association asks all residents to be as cooperative as possible with this important effort to maintain our water ways.

The Keys Association wishes to thank Richard Parsons, the City's dredging consultant, for his hard work to make this critical housekeeping project happen.
